Here is a 20 week lesson plan that we use when introducing kids to robotics through EV3. Along with this we have also included a powerpoint for a 3-hour class for another brief introduction to lego robotics which we shared at Devoxx4Kids.

Maintaining the Engineering Notebook
Keeping a clear and concise engineering notebook is crucial not only to FTC, but to any engineering project. Here are some pointers for your notebook.
- Try to record all major accomplishments and setbacks in your engineering notebook every meeting. This will ensure that your notebook is complete. Trying to finish all of your entries on the day of the meeting.
- Be sure to include entries from every meeting, outreach event, and competitions
- Include pictures, sketches, and CAD in your notebook to define the iterative design process of your robot

scouting
Scouting is a crucial aspect of the robot game in FTC. By gauging the other teams in your competition it makes it easier to determine the best strategies to use with your alliance. Below you can see our scouting form that we use when talking with other teams. With it we can judge which team's design, strategy, and program will be most compatible with us.
Seeking Sponsors
Sponsorships are crucial to the economic success of your team. With sponsors a team is no longer confined by fiscal limitations and have the means to compete more, and improve their robot and team.
